hi, that's me (ish) →
Afif Azahar
I design websites for Malaysian small businesses. Friendly, clear, and built around your customers.
Penang, Malaysia
Every site I make starts the same way.
A thought. A sketch. Then something real.
How it was made Pearl Dental Studio, start to finish. A demo, so no real patients, prices, or reviews.
1. OverviewPearl Dental Studio is a demo website for a fictional dental practice in Chelsea, New York. I made it to practise a full build, from a written brief to a finished, working site.
2. ChallengeMost dental websites feel clinical and a little cold. The brief asked for the opposite: warm, modern, and easy to book from, without losing trust.
3. Research & InsightPeople choose a dentist on comfort and trust more than on a list of treatments. So the page leads with people, smiles, and what a visit actually feels like.
4. ApproachA written brief and spec came first, then layout, type, and motion. I directed the design. Claude wrote the code with me, in Next.js with Tailwind and Framer Motion.
5. SolutionOne page with a clear path to booking, an honest FAQ, and gentle motion. The business numbers, smile photos, and reviews are labelled placeholders, because the practice is not real.
Same process, different businesses.

Hi. I'm Afif.
I'm based in Penang. I trade stocks, and I'm building Atelier Digital, a small studio for websites, content, and automation.
I'll be straight with you. I design and direct, and Claude writes the code with me. My own dashboard, the one I run my week on, was built that way.

Questions people ask
How long does a website take? It depends on the size of the site. We agree on a timeline together before anything starts.
How much does it cost? Pricing is still being set. Tell me what you need and I'll give you an honest quote.
Do you work outside Penang? Yes. Most of the work happens online, so anywhere in Malaysia works.
Can I update the site myself later? We decide that at the start, based on how often you'll want to change things.
Do you use AI? Yes, openly. I design and direct, and AI helps me build faster. I check every page myself before it goes live.
Can the site be in Bahasa Melayu? Draft answer, to confirm: Malay, English, or both, depending on who your customers are.

Demo project · Car detailing studio · Petaling Jaya
Kilau Detailing Overview A demo site for a fictional detailing, ceramic coating, and paint protection studio in Petaling Jaya. Challenge Detailing sites tend to shout: foam cannons, price tables, loud buttons. This one had to feel calm, precise, and premium. Approach Dark, cinematic pages with a sliding before and after, a layer-by-layer coating explainer, and a package builder that shows a price range as you choose. Solution One page in English and Bahasa Melayu. Enquiries go out as a pre-filled WhatsApp message. Built with Next.js, Tailwind, Framer Motion, GSAP A self-initiated demo. The business, prices, reviews, and stats are placeholders, and the photos were made with AI. I wrote the brief and directed the design; Claude built it with me. Not live yet.
Demo project · Reformer Pilates and barre studio · Bangsar, KL
Tempo Pilates Overview A demo site for a fictional boutique Pilates and barre studio in Bangsar, for KL professionals. Challenge Avoid the gym look: no neon, no shouting, no before and after bodies. It should feel like a calm sport-fashion brand. Approach A breathing circle that keeps a slow rhythm in the hero, then travels down to the timetable filters as you scroll. Warm colours, real coaching tone. Solution One page in English and Bahasa Melayu, with a timetable you can filter by level and a calculator for class packs. Built with Next.js, Tailwind, Framer Motion A self-initiated demo. The business, prices, reviews, and stats are placeholders, and the photos were made with AI. I wrote the brief and directed the design; Claude built it with me. Not live yet.
Demo project · Interior architecture studio · New York
Harrison & Vale Overview A demo site for a fictional interior architecture studio in New York. Challenge High-end design studios sell on taste. The site had to feel quiet and editorial, and let the projects do the talking. Approach Large photography, slow reveals, and a services list that opens on hover or keyboard. Every project has its own case-study page. Solution A homepage plus six project pages, with a contact form that opens your email app. No backend. Built with Next.js, Tailwind, Framer Motion A self-initiated demo. The business, prices, reviews, and stats are placeholders, and the photos were made with AI. I wrote the brief and directed the design; Claude built it with me. Not live yet.
